Three license types for SMB, enterprises, and software developers:

Electronic delivery. We will send your license key(s) to the e-mail address you specified when ordering the software.

Technical assistance: E-mail only technical assistance within one year after purchase. We reserve the right to answer on your request in 5 business days.

Lifetime license: The major version license (i.e. StrokeScribe V5.x.x.x) is permanent (one-time purchase for long-term use). No monthly or annual fees. The license is transferable.

License types

Commercial license: You can install the Software on up to 5 computers (located anywhere) that belong to you.

Extended license: Applicable for PCs located at one street address or remote users connected to one terminal (or one HTTP server). For two different locations or two terminal servers you need two Extended licenses.

Developer license grants user the right to redistribute the StrokeScribe Software as an integral part of custom developed products.

• The license is royalty-free;
• It does not limit the number of projects in which the Software is deployed;
• It does not limit the number of IDEs in which you can use the Software;
• Developer may (but is not obliged to) request additional license keys for the Software redistribution. We provide one key for free (ask here) to protect developer's key from piracy. More keys ($1 per key) can be purchased from the Developer zone.
• Developer license holder can access the Developer zone and use our setup script examples for Inno Setup and MSI to build custom installers and activate our Software in unattended mode.

Demo version: A "StrokeScribe Free" logo will present on each 1-D barcode (excluding postal codes). A StrokeScribe free text will be added to the end of data encoded in 2D barcode if more than 14 bytes are encoded. The exceptions are: http://, file://, ftp://, mailto: URLs (up to 40 bytes) without a free text being added after them. Some properties and methods may be unavailable in free version - see documentation page. Free version will show a pop-up message sometimes and some software releases may have time limited functionality.

To run without functionality limitations, each copy of the Software must be activated with a legally purchased license key.

Software activation

• Download and unzip the latest version of the StrokeScribe ActiveX;
• Close all documents, IDEs and all other software which may use the ActiveX;
• Run the setup program;
• Paste the license key on the User Information page of the setup wizard as shown on the picture below;
• Press the Next button several times to complete the wizard.
